Well as usual I had to pop into the supermarket on the way home today to ensure I have enough food to keep my and my son alive all weekend. Not exactly the most exciting thing to take your only child to, but shopping is unfortunately part of life... Until you marry and the wife does it. But at least I'm proud to say my son can tell the difference between fusulli and taglatelli, and for the first time today left him incharge of the dinner. Yes he's only ten but will happily eat anything put on his plate, is not fussy and doesn't say things like 'I don't like those' to something he's never even tasted. I'm proud to be a food snob and twice as proud my son knows the difference between 2 types of pasta. Its just a shame sainsbury's still have trouble with putting pancetta with cooked meats and not bacon... Peasants!
