Why is it tradition to sing Auld Langs Syne, in fact what is tradition! How does that work.....? Anyways I thought I'd try and find out where the song that is used by the English speaking world every New Year, comes from. Please feel free to email up to date versions that you might have created yourself one drunken New Years?!

Well the New year approaches and yet again i find myself trying to find something to do that evening?!

In the mean time I again have found myself refusing to go shopping for food and instead trying to make a meal from the scraps of stuff i have left. My creation this week is a simple idea that to be honest I copied from a cup-a-soup I had a while back. I took the only tin of cream of chicken & leek soup and mixed it with the pasta twirls! Hey presto Chicken with pasta in leek sauce...sounds posh when i say it like that!

Little Fairies...

Well after 5 days away from my flat enjoying the Christmas break, I can safely say that thoses little fairies that are meant to secretly work in the night don't exist. How do i know this.... well because my flat had not been cleaned while I was away! No washing, ironing or any domestic duty had been acheived during my absence, much to my sadness.

Well it's back to work for me but New Year approaches so have fun.

Well.... looks like i didn't keep up the enthusiasm that i may of had a few weeks ago, but i do have a lot on at the moment after all it is Christmas.

On the plus side i do 'Think' about writing almost every day it's just that I never get chance to sit infront of this computer much. So what been happening in the world? Well both the British and the US are awaiting the almost inevitable slip up by Saddam Hussien in his apparent hide & seek game with his 'weapons of mass destruction'. Is it just me or are they all kind of assuming he is guilty??? Well we do know he has a lot of weapons, how do we know this, because we sold them to him!

Also the Red Cross has been in the news because it has banned a nativity scene from a shop window in Kent. This has caused a large debate as to wether of not it was the right thing to do. If you ask me i find it all a little silly that people even think a debate is needed, it's done. Why should any business or charity have to explain itself in any religious way?

I had a strange though the other day, well to be honest I have strange thoughts most days.... but this one was different. I wondered if there was such thing as a flying mammal, after all birds once ruled the planet as a dominant species, Terradactyls were also a great animal of the skys and many reptiles could fly. Why then is it that the now dominant mammals don't?? After a lot of thinking, after all there must be a mammal that can truely fly, I don't count those cute little winged squirrels because they glide, I found one! Well to be honest Google found it for me..... the bats, they are the only mammal that can fly.

Well I thought it was interesting?!

Well, to get me started I saw a programme about the language of Humans, not really todays known languages nor recent dead ones, but the one we all take for granted.
If your not sure what im talking about then do this little test take 5 children all under 2 years old from 5 different places around the world. Each child comes from a cultural background that speaks a different language, sit them all down in a room and watch. They will play and more importantly they will communicate. None have the education of their parents modern language but all are born with a natural way of communicating, basic though it may be. As Humans get older we learn the tongue of our culture ( and maybe a few others ). This basic language is never really lost we all use it today, we laugh, we scream, we giggle and we cry to name just a few.... we were never taught it's just natural. It is also very close to other animals communictions, chimps do most of these things and their language ( if that is what you wish to call it ) is very similar to that we are born with, one difference is that it does not change as ours does, at least not that we can tell. So is this coincidence or a good case for Evolution..... thats your call.

IM BACK!

Yes after what 12 days of not having much of what I used to have ( PC wise ) I'm back with a new pc and 90% of my old software and stuff back. If you have been one of the people that emailed me, my apollogies for not replying but... I couldn't!

So, armed with a new improved computer will I actually get back to the days of posting something as often as i used to do when i dreamed this page up? I hope to but the little voices in side my head tell me I won't keep up my new found spirit, lets see who's right.

*Footnote - I could tell I was out of practice when I posted this into the Earwax section !? Second time lucky!

Ok just a quickie..... It seems my PC's motherboard has stopped talking to my main hard drive & therefore any ( infact 99% ) of my previous work is unavailable at present! No music No Websites ....... annoying eh. Well this has just prompted an early purchase of all my new pc components and as soon as I have all of these and i stick them together I hope to be back with a vengance........ Until then.
