Bridge to annoyance...

Have you ever noticed that some people like to stand or park on bridges that cross motorways? Why? It's not the best of views, tonnes of metal loudly roaring up and down, not to mention the huge amount of polluted air they must be inhaling. I can't see any logical reason why anyone would want to. All i think is it's either the Old Bill and their speed cameras [causing not only me to suddenly slow down] or some troublesome kids ready to drop an egg or two [i speak from experience of being such a victim]. Come on you bridge dwellers, there's better things to be doing!

Final Countdown...

No, not that great old song by Europe, but that reminds my to download it soon, but the fact that in a weeks time me and my better half will be on our way to Corfu. Yes we're visiting another Greek paradise in the sun and to be honest we just can not wait that week! Again, as is the case every year we have stocked up on a few books to keep our brains occupied while we toast ourselves in the sun. Strangely enough I have bought the follow up to one of the books I had taken last year, so be prepared for plenty of info on my return!

Another thing thats fired my thought once more is a programme I watched the other day, the life of Jesus, but not the life that we may have been taught about in our Christian education, instead the life he 'may' have led after he dissapeared. I was so interested I have spent hours researching this online and will shortly start to document my findings in another area of my site named... Project Jesus. Before I get a volley of emails from angry Christians, bear this in mind, it is ONLY a theory of the life after. But then again the whole idea of Christianity is a well believed Theory!

Seen it all before...

Yes it's been a long time since the last, and I have said this many times before.... exactly the point of a thought today. Despite the playground row between the BBC and the Government I had a thought today, Repeats. What do I mean, well take a quick look at your TV guide and listing and see how many of the programmes are actually repeats! Porridge, the old British comedy favourite, on again.... it seems that the BBC feel they can serve us the same old stuff over over and over again?! What has happened to investing in new material. If this carries on we may as well start airing the news from 1984 or better still 'Points of veiw' from a decade ago, the presenter may look out of date but at least all the programmes reviewed will still be current!

Christian Unity...

I am dissapointed to see that the first Gay Bishop has stepped down to keep the 'Unity of the Church', surely this is a step against true unity in itself? I sure he was forced out but at least he was brave enough to try, although rumours that the USA has it's own gay bishop waitng in the wings! [watch this space]

I watched another film last night as it had been rated so well by my friends what was it called? 28 Days Later.... I won't spoil the plot for anyone but I also now highly recommend watching it. Nice to see more Brit's in the movies.

Trendy Wine Bar.

Why is it that our great banks don't open at the weekends? after all thats when we are most free and spend our money! Yes maybe in days of old it was neccessary to close, but in todays age... I don't think so. Most are on the end of a phone 24-7 so why is it that we cannot make any transactions for 2 days a week, surely this causes more problems than not? So as the advert says my bank isn't a 'Trendy wine bar' and if it was it wouldn't be open anyways.

Any Bankers willing to respond?

I was listening to something the other day on the radio and a handful of people, who are now British citizens but originally from other countries, were asked what they think it is to be British. Not one of them could say and I sat there and thought 'nor could I'. I guess we're different to many countries as we don't have any ways that only we practice, that probably comes from being such a dominant figure in the world and making everyone else do the same.... have we anything left that is truely British! answers on an email.
