Cherry Pickers...

Back to bikes, more importantly BMX's. This was not only the start of another bike craze this was when, in my life and opinion, biking became crazy... if you don't believe me look at what they can do both then and now with a bike! I loved it, spurred on by many a good BMX bike chase scenes in a movie, or to take it a step further 'BMX Bandits' not a great film by comparison but definately ranked up there with greats such as ET and The Goonies in my childhood. Now I was fully into my BMX as it was one area i found i had some talent in, not only did my BMX become a second home, i raced them and learnt to pull off all manner of tricks on one, something I wouldnt dare to try nowadays! I haven't a clue where my trophies for racing them have got to nor infact all the gear and helmets I had... no doubt still with my childhood somewhere. But what memories I have of that age live strong inside me and as do some scarred shins on the outside...

Remember the good old days when a bike was the childs version of a car and it meant freedom!? I used to spend hours on my bike just simply going round and round the same old streets or off down the shops to spend the little pittance i had on penny sweets. The first time i learnt to ride without the dreaded stablisers must have been on an old Raleigh Chopper, nowadays a classic, I remember it well my Grandad was there for morale support and after a few false starts i was off... only when I realised i was actually in control it all went tits up and i veered into a nearby neighbours garden and came to a stop in their flower bed. Choppers were great, they had those 'gears' that actually did nothing and the fact they had a smaller front wheel only made it easier to pull a wheelie! One downfall was the seat, well more importantly the backrest/bar if you wern't carefull you'd look a right fool if you tried to swing your leg backwards to get off and again hit the pavement. After the chopper i progressed to the much more macho 'Grifter' and then onto the ultimate fun, a BMX... more of them soon.

Greece Frightening...

I am so fed up of hearing that Falaraki is a terrible place, it is but people still go there for a peaceful holiday, duh!!!
Rhodes is a great island but I avoided Falaraki as it is just that and for Greece to moan about one of there biggest revenues of income is ridiculous... didnt they build it?!

Offside rule...

Well the football season has started again, despite years of me having very little interest in the sport last year I actually got into the game. Trouble is my team, the once great Tottenham Hotspur, never actually win much! The first game of this season wasn't the best start... not only did we lose, the manager actually moaned about it blaming the referee for giving a goal away that lost us the game. Yes managers should show their annoyance, but how we lost a game from a goal that happened in the 35 minute, when there's almost an hour left to play!! One thing I did notice though Mr manager, if your reading, the 3 strikers tht you got rid of last year ALL scored for their new teams in the very first game... who can we blame for that?

Well I'm back off of our holiday to Corfu - Paleokastritsa... Another great week in the sun, although we missed the record breaking weather back home. No problem missing it as we had much better surroundings!
Well I have managed this time to get all the holiday pictures onto CD so it won't be as much hassle to get them on here [after I have selectively removed some].

Fish Food...

Just spent a few hours today watching the brilliant 'Finding Nemo' another Pixar great! I know I'm huge animation fan but this is even more brilliant than before.
