Still breathing...

Yes I am still here for anyone who had noticed [or not] I have spent far to much time working in another country and I am looking forward to coming home. Now that may seem like I lead a Jet-set life but if I tell you that the 'other country' is in fact Wales the glamour may die, still it's makes me feel more important when I say it like I do.

Nice to see that Blogger has taken another step in the right direction and has introducedmore free functions, even an Audio blog trial... not that I will be taking that up. Also such usefull things as a spell checker and even a file upload, has Google push for all of this? Who cares well done you.

If the shoe fits...

Just another weird observation I have again put down onto digital paper. Have you ever come across odd items that are just lying around? Today's item left in an empty car park was a shoe, one single ladies shoe. Now it's not the first time I've seen a discarded shoe but until today the reality just didn't hit me... who in their right mind doesn't notice that they're wearing only one? The fact that today's shoe was a woman's made it worse, my better half like most women can't walk past a shop window without noticing one's that she does not yet own! Maybe the Cinderella fantasy is still alive in the back of some minds.

Pure chance...

While driving yet again to Wales for another week or so working away from home and more importantly my other half, I heard an interview on Radio 4 with one of the participants of the World's 'rock, scissor, paper' championship. Yes a championship for the world's greatest player of a game of pure chance! What made it even more obscene is that the interviewee was adamant that skill was involved, his highly amusing statement was ' This year is the turn of paper... paper is the new scissors'.

Atkins diet...

All the fuss surrounding this diet has appeared of late, reasons behind this are a little rough though. Apparently one girl in America has died lately and her family and others have pointed the finger at the Atkins diet... Why?
My sympathy for her death but wasn't she overweight for quite sometime before, surely not 100% fit and healthy, she allegedly had tried lots of diets that failed but none of these got the blame. The jury's still out on whether this diet is any good for you, but what is known is that it has worked for a lot of people... and upset a lot of redundant bakers!
