A red Christmas...

The best news I had heard this year was a news story the other day about the Mars mission and that all seemed to be goin well for 'Beadle' to land on Mars this Christmas day. Why such great news?... well because I never did like that 'You've been Framed' television presenter and I wont even blink at the millions of pounds it's taken to send Jeremy Beadle to Mars!

Old Peoples Moan...

Upon arriving at work this morning I was annoyed to find the car in the lane next to me swerve into my path, practically my own car, the 'Old' gentleman driver seemed oblivious to the fact that I was there [even after my sign language to him]. I moaned and shouted a few times but he then went a different way, I parked the car and made the short journey across the car park towards the pavement... only to feel something brush against my leg. I turned and yet again to my horror found that it was that same bloody driver had clipped me with his car! I shouted and looked up at him but unbelievably [or not] both him and his passenger were staring straight ahead as if hypnotised, not even a blink!

Old people... I'll agree to driving license re-tests at 60, where do I sign?!?!

No light at the end of the tunnel...

Well as I'm fully aware now the US have captured Saddam Hussein, aware because I can't listen watch or go anywhere without being reminded of the 'Great Victory'. This sparked a few thoughts for me, firstly relief for those Iraqis that suffered because of him, but then a few more... Hasn't the Coalition been telling us time and time again that Saddam used many look-a-likes and decoys, yet when they find him the fact that he said to them "I am Saddam Hussein President of Iraq" was enough Identification! Also Who's victory is this, the country is hardly born again, infact it is currently struggling to live. The then further coverage from the media and the Coalition of Car Bombing by 'Saddam Loyalists', only confuses me more are we being convinced these are attacks committed by so called loyalists to Saddam because they may in fact just simply be retaliating against the occupation. I dont see a victory here for many at all... just a smoke screen to hide the mess that Iraq is still in, hopefully that is improving, but the Coalition went into Iraq looking for WMD and after 7 months they have only found Saddam.
