Going Nuts...

Well for some spiders are just little 8 legged things for my other half it's a nightmare waiting to happen, o when I came across a old housewife's tip I thought my problem has ended. Conkers... spiders hate them, can't think why maybe it's to do with not being able to hold the string! No really they apparently do not like the smell of them so scattering a few around the home will keep the spiders away. Now all this seemed perfect as I have 3 conker trees at the end of my road, but alas the conkers have all bloody gone! so I'll have to keep quiet until next year for the solution.

Father figures...

It was good to see Bob Geldof on t.v. for once last night, i'm not normally a fan of him probably due to his scruffy appearance. But this time i had something to relate to, his passion for changing the laws on parental rights and access. It was good in one way to bring this into the publics eye but also worrying to see that so many people experienced the same or worse than myself. I only hope a lot of the women that have abused this area of the law for their own gain and those within the family courts feel the guilt and embaressment of their actions. Right i'm off to change into my batman suit and climb the town hall.

Smoke signals...

Smoking Kills, yes we all know it and the government has decided to make sure we don't forget this fact by ensuring each packet of the horrible little sticks [I gave up a years ago and have smoked 2 since - Bloody awful they were to] has a large warning sign on it. Now I agree that this is useful to warn the younger or dumber people out there the real dangers.. but why not have fun with such a serious thing!

These people has come up with some ammusing little stickers to place over the sign, with little dittys such as : 'You will get fat if you stop smoking','Smoking supports the NHS','At least I don't smoke crack','It's ok I'm not pregnant' & 'Non-smokers may causes irritation'.

SO go out and buy some now... if you dont smoke pray on someone elses packets instead!

In the dark...

I don't know how many of you have seen the new Pepsi Max TV advert 'CanFu' I think it's brilliant... and yes for the first 20 seconds I didnt even notice the people in black suits [Duh] but that made it even more enjoyable. Whilst trying to find a link to a copy on the internet I found an even better sketch using the same techniques. This is from the country that created the style.

A stitch in time...

Well some of you have noticed that this site, or rather the speed that it loads at has dropped to the pace of a disabled snail [no offence to less fortunate snails]. So over the weekend I have re-written the code to try and speed this up a little, let me know if anyone notices a difference.

Fruit in the hand...

It's nearly the time of year, no not for blackberry picking [well maybe] but the time I upgrade my mobile to what I normally hope is the latest model, usually it turns out to be a model that the very next month has been replaced by a cheaper better version or, and this is far more annoying, it ends up being the most popular choice for teenagers! But this time I am going to win, I'm sure of it. Now I have narrowed my search down to a few and for the first time since 1994 I wont go Nokia, instead I'm going for a few different manufacturers my favourite at present is a Blackberry™.

Ok so it's not a soft fruit it infact a handheld Phone, PDA, all singing all dancing thingy. The one thing it hasn't got is a digital camera, but we have one of those and who needs a camera [I saw that now, you watch I'll need one soon]. The only other slight prblem I have is that I prefer the US version by T-Moblie for some reason the UK version by Vodafone just isn't as sexy! Or do I just go for the iPAQ phone due out soon or perhaps try a Sony Ericson that has a camera but not a PDA... Damn all this choice!

Annoying thing...

I have just spent the last 5 minutes filling this little box up with what was today a quite meaningful lump... only to recieve a bloody error message and loose the lot.
