Frightening...

I must be getting old as i'm now begining to moan about fireworks, or more specifically when they're being used. It suprised me to hear someone say it's just part of Halloween. I was also stopped on moday by a young scrub asking for a penny for his guy, on my reply of 'yes if you can tell me who Guy was?' he just stared at me vacantly... What is the point of celebrating an occasion you know nothing about and confusing 2 very different days? See what an old git i am.

Stamping it out...

The Royal Mail are now thinking of closing half of the high street post offices, this after closing down most of the smaller ones. I'm guessing it's part of the on going improvements where the twice daily delivery of the post has been replaced with one... Six hours later than i'm used to! Nowadays if we get no post one day it just means the postman is a day late rather than no letters. And what will all the post office staff do? Well with all that cash handling ability and customer service skills they can get a job in a super casino.
