Weather or not here I come...

So now it's raining back to the good old usual April showers. Maybe all those numpty's in their grey jackets knew something I didn't it's not all bad I broke my sprinkler on Sunday so the rain saves me getting the glue out. The car needed washing too but that looks fine now its wet. Lazy cheap git me! Oh and yesterday was St Georges day so happy that as well, not that I know who he was or what he did or even why he was sainted and became ours? By 'ours' I mean the English after all this is the net and therefor is without boundaries, unless your in china or behind AOLs cybernanny where life for you must be duller, and for the anonymous person who sent me the patriotic text with racist undertones, that was addressed to all Anglo Saxons but not those immigrants, try googling Saxon you might be suprised where they came from! I wonder how many people know who this George bloke actually was? Answers on a postcard please.

In the blood...

Well I was pleased to see my little sister has got into the blogging thing. When I set up the site for her and taught her how to post her thoughts I didn't think she'd keep it up, maybe it was the look she gave me or maybe that look was more "it's my birthday and this is all I get?" kind of look who knows. But it's now a way of all the family keeping track of her new middle eastern lifestyle... At least now the family know what blogging means they must do as her page got more hits than mine last month!

Come rain or shine...

What great weather we continue to have, the suns out and all is well. But why are there the small group of people who still wear their coats out. You know the type of people I mean, walk with straight backs carrying there jam sandwiches in a carrier bag of no know brand and have thick black hair greased to their scalp wearing a thick grey felt coat! Are these a race of humans evolution left behind or are they robots who don't quite understand the principle of heat extraction? Wel

Wing and a prayer...

Ok so I've recently spent a considerable amount of money and a lot more time and hard work in turning my garden from a mounded pile of dirt and weeds into a large green lawn. This went all to plan and due to the change in weather I could enjoy it and have to water it daily now 3 weeks in it looks bloody great. Now the garden is, much to my mothers liking, full of birds and wildlife for which I'm grateful. Now I'm no twitcher but I know my birds and can spot a pair of great tits anywhere. But its spring and. Birds are building nests and that means stealing my woodchippings but now a pair of magpies, and those of you that know the old rhyme 2 means Joy, are pulling chunks of my lawn to bits for the benefit of their nest. Ice googled this problem to see how to stop this and save my previous lawn, but nothing... Well I do now have flapping bags on sticks but this isn't working. I did find a bird scare at 99 quid but by the time it arrives nesting will be over, although I did find an air rifle at 30 and that I'm allowed to shoot them! So any bird lovers with a better idea now is the time to act or have two dead birds on your conscience.
